Sound Design

Each of these projects had specific requirements to them, whether it was a session done purely from foley, ambience work or a project where I redid every aspect of the audio in my own style.

All of these sessions were worked on in Pro Tools, so if you would like to see those session files feel free to let me know!

Hiss and a roar challenge

This was my submission to HISS and a ROAR during their first sound design challenge, and was a winning submission in the competition. This competition required me to design the soundscape of two shots of waves on a beach. To make it harder, submissions could only be designed using a small selection of noise samples provided by HISS and a ROAR. Wall-E (2008) Redesign

This project consisted of doing a complete audio overhaul of the "La Vie En Rose" scene in the movie WALL-E (Pixar, 2008). Because of this, I re-designed the entire sonic landscape of this scene to fit my own style, including all of the ambiences, foley, vocal utterances, and everything else that this scene required. The original session was also mixed in 5.1 surround sound, but this file was bounced as a stereo version.

If you would like to hear the original 5.1 mix, please contact me and let me know so I can send it to you!

Metropolis (1927) Foley and Ambience Redo

For this project, I redid all of the foley and ambience work for a scene in the movie Metropolis (1927), whether it was the machinery noise, screaming, or various foley elements that occur throughout the scene. I also originally did the entire session in 5.1 surround sound, so if you would like to hear the original just let me know and I will send it to you!

Felix The Cat Foley Project

This project was done entirely from foley, without using a sound effects library too. I recorded every sound effect and acted most of them, giving me a fun insight into the world of foley acting.
